The Somfy Dexxo Pro 1000 offers two rated configurations. With a standard rail: 20 cycles per day, tested to 36,500 cycles. With a high-performance rail: 50 cycles per day, tested to 90,000 total cycles — 2.5 times more than the standard rail. For Abu Dhabi commercial garage entrances or apartment block parking with high daily throughput, the high-performance rail doubles the daily cycle capacity and substantially extends the tested lifetime. The rail type is selected at installation; the motor itself is the same for both configurations.

The 35mm minimum lintel height is the clearance required above the garage door opening for the motor and rail to be installed. Many garage door operators require 100–200mm of headroom above the door frame. At 35mm — less than 4cm — the Dexxo Pro 1000 can be fitted in Abu Dhabi garages with very limited overhead space between the door top and the ceiling structure above the opening, expanding its compatibility to older villas or commercial buildings where headroom was not designed with ceiling-mounted automation in mind.

The Somfy Dexxo Pro 1000 has two independent lighting circuits. The built-in 230V / 40W E14 socket accepts a standard small-screw-cap bulb directly in the motor housing, illuminating the garage interior during and after door operation. The separate external lighting control output at 230V / 500W maximum connects to a separate garage area light or driveway fixture, switching it on during door cycles. Both circuits operate independently, allowing the internal and external lights to be configured separately for different Abu Dhabi villa entrance lighting needs.

The Somfy Dexxo Pro 1000’s TaHoma compatibility allows it to be integrated into Somfy’s cloud-connected smart home system for smartphone control and multi-device automation alongside other Somfy products. The Somfy Dexxo Optimo RTS does not mention TaHoma. The Dexxo Pro 1000 includes Keygo RTS remotes — Somfy’s compact key-fob format — while the Optimo includes the Keytis2 NS with a visor clip. Both use Somfy RTS at 433.42 MHz; the Pro 1000 stores 32 channels for multi-access-point control.

The Somfy Dexxo Pro 1000’s +60°C upper operating limit is the highest in the Somfy garage range, suitable for Abu Dhabi garage ceilings that reach peak summer temperatures. Its 15 m² capacity and lateral-opening door compatibility extend its use beyond standard sectional doors. Class 2 double insulation eliminates earth-wire requirement.
