Purpose of This Policy

This policy helps customers understand which products may be covered under warranty, what warranty coverage may include, what warranty does not cover, how warranty claims are submitted, what documents are required, how inspection is handled, whether repair or replacement may apply, and what responsibilities customers have after purchase.

This policy should be read together with our Terms & Conditions, Shipping & Delivery Policy, Returns, Refunds & Cancellation Policy, Payment Policy, and Contact & Complaints Policy.

Standard Warranty Period

The standard warranty on branded products sold by POWERgate Abu Dhabi is 1 year from the date of purchase or invoice, unless a different manufacturer warranty period is clearly stated in writing, on the product page, quotation, invoice, warranty card, or manufacturer documentation.

Warranty coverage may vary depending on product type, brand, manufacturer terms, installation method, usage conditions, and technical assessment.

Accessories, consumable items, batteries, clearance items, special-order parts, or non-branded products may have different warranty terms or limited coverage where clearly stated.

Warranty Coverage Overview

Warranty coverage may apply to eligible branded products purchased directly from POWERgate Abu Dhabi through approved sales channels.

Warranty coverage is generally intended to protect customers against verified manufacturing defects, material defects, and product faults that occur under normal use during the applicable 1-year warranty period.

Warranty coverage does not mean every product issue will automatically qualify for free repair, replacement, refund, or service. Each claim must be reviewed, inspected, and approved.

Warranty Eligibility

To be eligible for warranty review, customers must generally meet the following requirements:

  • Product must have been purchased from POWERgate Abu Dhabi.
  • Customer must provide valid proof of purchase.
  • Branded product must be within the 1-year warranty period unless another written warranty applies.
  • Issue must relate to a covered defect or fault.
  • Product must have been used according to manufacturer instructions.
  • Product must not have been misused, modified, tampered with, or repaired without authorization.
  • Product must not have been damaged by incorrect installation, electrical issues, accident, negligence, or environmental conditions.
  • Customer must follow the warranty claim procedure.

Proof of Purchase Requirement

A valid proof of purchase is required for all warranty claims.

Proof of purchase may include order confirmation, invoice, receipt, payment confirmation, warranty registration details where applicable, product serial number where available, or customer account order history.

Without valid proof of purchase, POWERgate Abu Dhabi may be unable to verify warranty eligibility.

Original Purchaser Requirement

Warranty support may apply only to the original purchaser of the product unless otherwise stated by the manufacturer or approved by POWERgate Abu Dhabi.

If a product has been resold, transferred, or installed for another party, warranty eligibility may depend on documentation, serial number, manufacturer terms, and purchase verification.

Product Categories Covered

The standard 1-year warranty on branded products may apply to eligible items such as gate automation motors, garage door automation products, automatic barrier systems, access control equipment, receivers, control boards, safety photocells, loop detectors, barrier accessories, spare parts, and related branded components.

Warranty terms may vary by product category and manufacturer.

Manufacturer-Specific Warranty Periods

Many products sold by POWERgate Abu Dhabi are produced by third-party manufacturers.

If a manufacturer provides a warranty period different from the standard 1-year warranty, the manufacturer’s written warranty terms may apply.

POWERgate Abu Dhabi may assist customers with the claim process, but the final warranty decision may depend on the manufacturer, authorized distributor, or supplier assessment.

What the Warranty Covers

Warranty coverage may include verified product issues such as manufacturing defects, material defects, hardware faults under normal use, product malfunction caused by internal defect, failure of covered components within the warranty period, defects confirmed after technical assessment, and faults covered by manufacturer warranty terms.

What the Warranty Does Not Cover

Warranty coverage may not apply to normal wear and tear, improper installation, unauthorized installation, incorrect wiring, unauthorized repairs, unauthorized modifications, misuse, negligence, accidental damage, physical impact, water damage where not covered by product rating, environmental damage, dust, moisture, corrosion, extreme weather damage, power surges, electrical faults, incorrect voltage supply, battery wear, consumable parts, cosmetic damage, scratches, dents, damage caused by third parties, customer handling damage, lack of maintenance, or use outside manufacturer specifications.

POWERgate Abu Dhabi reserves the right to determine whether the reported issue falls within warranty coverage after inspection or technical assessment.

Installation-Related Warranty Conditions

Some automation products require professional installation, correct configuration, proper wiring, and safe site conditions.

Warranty may be affected or voided if the product is installed incorrectly, installed by an unauthorized or unqualified person, installed against manufacturer instructions, connected to unsafe or incorrect wiring, used with incompatible accessories, modified during installation, or installed without required documentation.

Third-Party Installation

If a customer uses a third-party installer, technician, contractor, or service provider, POWERgate Abu Dhabi is not responsible for damage, malfunction, or warranty issues caused by that third party.

Warranty claims involving third-party installation may require additional inspection, installation photos, wiring details, site information, technician report, or manufacturer assessment.

Warranty Claim Process

To submit a warranty claim, customers should contact POWERgate Abu Dhabi through email, phone, WhatsApp, or website contact form.

The customer should provide customer name, order number, invoice or receipt, product name and model, serial number where available, purchase date, description of the issue, photos or videos, installation photos where relevant, error codes or fault details, and previous repair or service details if any.

Incomplete warranty information may delay the review process.

Warranty Claim Review

After receiving a warranty claim, POWERgate Abu Dhabi may check proof of purchase, confirm the 1-year warranty period or other applicable warranty period, review product details, check eligibility, review photos and videos, ask for more information, consult the supplier or manufacturer, request inspection, or arrange technical assessment.

Submission of a warranty claim does not automatically mean the claim is approved.

Product Inspection and Evaluation

Warranty claims may require visual assessment, serial number verification, product condition check, electrical or mechanical testing, installation review, wiring and accessory check, signs of misuse or damage, functionality testing, and manufacturer or supplier assessment.

POWERgate Abu Dhabi may approve or reject the claim based on inspection results.

Warranty Remedies

If a warranty claim is approved, POWERgate Abu Dhabi may offer product repair, defective part replacement, product replacement, equivalent product replacement, manufacturer repair process, supplier-supported resolution, or another approved solution.

The remedy will depend on the product, defect, warranty terms, stock availability, manufacturer policy, and inspection result.

Repair First Approach

For many technical products, repair may be the first warranty solution before replacement or refund is considered.

If repair is not practical or the product cannot be repaired under warranty, POWERgate Abu Dhabi may consider replacement or another suitable solution.

Product Replacement

Where replacement is approved, POWERgate Abu Dhabi may replace the defective product with the same model where available.

If the same model is unavailable, discontinued, or out of stock, POWERgate Abu Dhabi may offer an equivalent or similar product based on availability and suitability.

Replacement Product Warranty

A replacement product may be covered for the remaining period of the original 1-year warranty unless otherwise stated by the manufacturer or approved by POWERgate Abu Dhabi.

Replacement does not automatically restart the full warranty period unless specifically confirmed in writing.

Shipping and Transportation for Warranty Claims

Warranty claims may require the product to be returned, delivered, inspected, or transported.

Customers may be responsible for shipping or transportation costs where the issue is not covered by warranty, the product is working normally, the issue is caused by customer misuse, incorrect installation, customer damage, or the claim is rejected after inspection.

Manufacturer Warranties

Some products may include warranties provided directly by the manufacturer, authorized distributor, or supplier.

Manufacturer warranties may have their own warranty periods, claim forms, inspection rules, repair procedures, replacement conditions, exclusion lists, documentation requirements, and service center requirements.

Relationship with Returns and Refunds

Warranty claims are separate from regular returns, product exchanges, and refunds.

Return and product exchange requests must be submitted within 15 days from delivery. Warranty claims for branded products may be submitted within the applicable 1-year warranty period, subject to warranty eligibility.

A product covered under warranty may be repaired or replaced before any refund is considered.

Customer Responsibilities

Customers are responsible for keeping proof of purchase, reading product instructions, using products correctly, following manufacturer guidelines, arranging proper installation, maintaining products properly, avoiding unauthorized repairs or modifications, reporting faults promptly within the warranty period, providing accurate warranty claim information, cooperating during inspection, and returning products safely where required.

Routine Maintenance

Some products may require routine maintenance to remain in good working condition, such as cleaning, lubrication, checking moving parts, checking batteries, checking wiring, checking safety devices, and following manufacturer maintenance recommendations.

Damage or malfunction caused by lack of maintenance may not be covered.

Fraudulent or Invalid Claims

POWERgate Abu Dhabi may reject warranty claims involving false defect claims, altered proof of purchase, incorrect product information, misrepresentation of product condition, unauthorized repair attempts, tampered serial numbers, misuse reported as manufacturing defect, or repeated abusive warranty claims.

Warranty Claim Rejection Circumstances

A warranty claim may be rejected if the 1-year warranty period has expired, proof of purchase is missing, the product was not purchased from POWERgate Abu Dhabi, the product has been misused, installed incorrectly, modified, repaired without authorization, physically damaged, affected by power surge, damaged by environmental conditions, affected by normal wear and tear, missing parts, altered serial numbers, not covered by manufacturer warranty, or the customer does not cooperate with the claim process.

Warranty Limitations

Warranty coverage is limited to eligible product defects confirmed through review or inspection.

Warranty does not cover indirect losses, business interruption, loss of income, installation costs, removal costs, third-party service charges, property damage, inconvenience, or other consequential losses unless required by applicable law.
