The DEA LIVI 6N and the DEA LIVI 403E share 230V / 320W / 340N / 10 m/min / 8µF / 18 cycles/hour / IPX4 base rating / LINEAR photocells / DEA GT2 remotes / 4m nylon rack. The LIVI 6N steps up to 600 kg, +50°C upper temperature, NET230N control board, Z16 pinion, encoder-based position control, anti-crushing safety device, and an IP44-rated magnetic limit switch version (LIVI 6N/M). The LIVI 403E handles 400 kg at +40°C with DEA 212E board and self-learning times. The LIVI 6N is the better Abu Dhabi outdoor specification.

The DEA LIVI 6N’s +50°C upper operating temperature is a meaningful improvement over the LIVI 403E’s +40°C for Abu Dhabi conditions. Abu Dhabi air temperatures regularly reach 45–48°C in peak summer, exceeding the 403E’s limit but remaining within the LIVI 6N’s rated range in shaded positions. A motor body in a ventilated pillar can stay cooler than ambient air, making the LIVI 6N’s +50°C realistic for Abu Dhabi residential use in a correctly shaded and ventilated pillar, while the 403E cannot reliably claim this.

The standard DEA LIVI 6N carries IPX4 protection (no dust rating, splash resistant). The LIVI 6N/M version, which uses magnetic limit switches instead of electromechanical, is rated at IP44 (1mm dust protection and splash resistant). IP44 is significantly better for Abu Dhabi’s outdoor dusty environment. If the installation requires confirmed dust protection, the LIVI 6N/M should be specified over the standard LIVI 6N.
