All installation accessories — photocells, remote controls, plug-in receiver, flashing light, rack, push button, and foundation concrete — must be sourced separately. The PROTECO MEKO 8 delivers 440N maximum thrust at 10.5 m/min from a 300W, 1400 rpm asynchronous motor with a 10µF capacitor. Current draw ranges from 1.2A at light load to 2A at full load. The 150°C thermal protection is higher than the standard 140°C in most motors, providing extra winding protection in Abu Dhabi’s summer ambient temperatures. At 40% duty, the MEKO 8 suits standard residential and light commercial gate cycles.

The PROTECO MEKO 8’s horizontally and vertically adjustable ground plate allows the motor’s pinion centreline to be repositioned in two axes after the anchor plate is fixed.
