The MyGate MyHook explicitly confirms suitability for outward-opening swing gates — gates that open toward the street rather than inward into the property. Most swing gate motors in the POWERgate Abu Dhabi range are designed primarily for inward-opening gates, and manufacturers rarely address outward installations because the gate’s open position is exposed to pedestrian and vehicle traffic. The MyHook’s articulated arm geometry and 130° maximum opening angle accommodate the different bracket-to-hinge relationship that outward opening creates. For Abu Dhabi villas where the driveway slopes toward the entrance or site constraints prevent inward opening, the MyHook is one of the few explicitly confirmed outward-capable operators.

The MyGate MyHook’s 130° maximum opening angle matches the BFT PHOBOS BT B40 — the previous record holder for arm-type motors — and exceeds the BFT IGEA range (125°), BFT VIRGO SMART (120°), DEA GEKO, and CAME FTX20DGC.
