KEY RAY FAST Swing Gate Motor

The KEY RAY FAST supports manual unlock via a SUB transmitter — a remote control signal that disengages the motor from the gate drive without inserting a physical key into the motor housing. Every other motor in the range that requires manual release uses a physical key (triangle key, trilobe key, Euro-profile cylinder) or a lever on the motor body. The SUB transmitter approach means an authorised person can release the gate during a power cut from a distance, without needing the specific release key to be physically present. This is a meaningful advantage for Abu Dhabi villa gates where the key may not be immediately accessible.

The KEY RAY FAST reaches 90° in 10 seconds excluding the slowdown phase, making it one of the fastest surface swing gate motors in the POWERgate Abu Dhabi range for a 3.0m/300kg gate. The DEA STING/24-BOOST reaches 90° in 9 seconds, and the CAME FTX20DGC is adjustable between 13 and 30 seconds. For a 24V encoder motor handling a 3m leaf, 10 seconds is exceptionally fast and reflects the FASTLINE range’s specific design priority of rapid gate cycling for high-demand access points alongside full encoder precision and slowdown.

The KEY RAY FAST uses UV-resistant plastic covers on its motor body — an explicit material specification not published on any other motor in the POWERgate Abu Dhabi range. Abu Dhabi’s year-round intense UV radiation causes standard plastics to become brittle, discolour, and crack within 2–3 years. UV-resistant covers maintain their structural integrity and appearance significantly longer under direct sun exposure. Combined with the powder-coated die-cast aluminium body, the RAY3024F is specifically designed to withstand outdoor Abu Dhabi conditions where motor housings face direct sunlight on gate pillars for most of the day.

The KEY RAY FAST features aligned front and rear mounting brackets — the motor’s pillar bracket and gate leaf bracket are pre-engineered to the same alignment axis, so the installer simply positions both brackets at the same height and distance without calculating angular offsets. On many other motors, the front and rear bracket axes differ slightly, requiring geometry calculations or shimming during installation. The KEY RAY FAST’s aligned design reduces installation time and alignment errors, particularly useful for Abu Dhabi gate fitters installing across multiple villa properties where speed and consistency of bracket placement matter.

The KEY RAY FAST carries a 24-month manufacturer warranty. The kit supplies one RAY3024F motor only — a complete installation also requires the 14AB2F control board, safety photocells, a flashing light, mechanical stops, the SUB transmitter for remote release, and a 24V power supply. The encoder must be calibrated during commissioning through the 14AB2F board — incorrect calibration causes false obstacle detection on a 3m/300kg gate. The UV-resistant covers do not require additional protection, but direct water jet exposure must be avoided as no specific IP rating is published.
