daN stands for dekaNewtons — one dekaNewton equals 10 Newtons. The Genius EURO BAT400’s 350 daN = 3500 N of maximum linear force, placing it between the CAME ATS30AGS (400–3000N) and the CAME ATI A3000 (400–4000N) in thrust capacity. This is the only product in the POWERgate Abu Dhabi swing gate range to specify force in daN rather than N. At 3500N on a 4.0m gate leaf, the EURO BAT400 delivers adequate thrust for standard Abu Dhabi residential villa gates made from welded iron or aluminium profiles at moderate weight.

At 6.5 kg, the Genius EURO BAT400 is the lightest complete swing gate motor in the POWERgate Abu Dhabi range. For comparison, the FAAC 413 and 415 weigh 7.8 kg, the CAME KRONO KR300D weighs 10 kg, the CAME ATS50AGS weighs 9 kg, and the BENINCA BOB50M weighs 11.6 kg. The 6.5 kg weight reduces the load on gate pillar anchor bolts and makes single-person installation more manageable on Abu Dhabi villa sites where access equipment may be limited. The compact housing also suits installations with minimal pillar clearance.

The BRAIN592 is Genius Automation’s dedicated control board supplied in the EURO BAT400 kit, housed in a separate protective enclosure. It manages the 230V worm screw motor’s start/stop cycle, receives commands from the 868 MHz KILO 2 transmitters via the single-channel receiver, integrates the VEGA photocell safety pair, and controls the push button input. As a 30 cycles/hour board matched to the EURO BAT400’s duty cycle, it prevents motor overrun under high-frequency access demand. Genius Automation’s installation guidance explicitly states that 230V power cables must be routed separately from low-voltage accessory cables — photocell wiring, receiver cable, and push-button wiring. Running 230V and low-voltage cables in the same conduit or bundled together induces electromagnetic interference that causes the BRAIN592 control board to receive false signals: phantom open/close commands, incorrect photocell interruption alerts, or erratic remote response. In Abu Dhabi installations where cables are buried in pillar trunking or wall conduit, correct separation at the planning stage prevents interference problems that are difficult to diagnose after installation is complete.

The Genius EURO BAT400 carries a 24-month manufacturer warranty. Key pre-installation requirements: mechanical travel limit stops must be in place before commissioning — the EURO BAT400 relies on physical stops to define gate position rather than encoder-based electronic limits, and operating without them risks the motor over-travelling its bracket. Power and low-voltage cable separation is mandatory for correct BRAIN592 operation. The IP44 rating requires sheltered mounting, and additional remotes must be Genius 868 MHz only.
