NICE Hyppo 7000 HY7005 Swing Gate Motor

The NICE Hyppo 7000 HY7005 features a compact shockproof body — a motor housing designed to absorb and resist physical impact without cracking or deforming. For Abu Dhabi villa gate installations where vehicles manoeuvre in tight driveways, accidental contact between a vehicle door or mirror and the gate motor is a real risk. The shockproof housing prevents structural damage from low-energy impacts that would crack standard plastic or thin-cast housings. Combined with the galvanized and painted shear-proof articulated arm, the Hyppo is one of the most mechanically robust arm motors in the range.

The Hyppo HY7005’s arm receives two anti-corrosion treatments: galvanizing (zinc electrocoating that bonds metallurgically to the steel) followed by painting (a protective and aesthetic outer coat). Galvanizing alone provides corrosion resistance in the base metal; the paint layer adds UV protection and a second barrier against scratching and moisture. For Abu Dhabi’s outdoor environment where gate arm components are exposed to humidity, occasional rain, and UV radiation year-round, this dual treatment extends arm life significantly beyond a single-treatment surface. It is a more durable specification than most painted-only arm motors in the range.

The NICE Hyppo 7000’s IP43 rating means protection against solid objects larger than 1mm (4) and against water spraying at up to 60° from vertical (3) but not horizontal or upward spray. This is the same unusual rating as the ERREKA ARES — less water protection than the IP44 or IP54 motors in the range. The Hyppo should be mounted on a pillar with a natural overhang or under a wall cap that prevents direct side-spray from irrigation systems. In Abu Dhabi’s outdoor conditions, a drip cover or recessed pillar position is recommended.

Nice recommends the Moonclever MC800 as the compatible control unit for the HY7005. Moonclever is NICE’s range of smart control panels offering advanced programming, smartphone integration via the NICE ecosystem, and compatibility with the full NICE accessory range including transmitters and photocells. The MC800 manages the HY7005’s 230V supply and built-in limit switches for both open and close positions. The +50°C upper temperature limit is the lowest in the range; shaded or ventilated mounting is essential for Abu Dhabi summer conditions. The IP43 rating requires shelter from horizontal spray.
