The BFT Tiziano’s anti-break-in blocking system is a rail-carriage locking mechanism that activates when the door reaches the fully closed position, physically locking the carriage to the rail to prevent the door from being manually pushed up from outside. Unlike mechanical door locks on the door itself, this system locks the automation drive mechanism — the point of attack when someone attempts to force a sectional garage door open manually. For Abu Dhabi villas where garage access from the drive is a security concern, this adds a meaningful secondary barrier.

Traditional garage door operators need external stop brackets physically mounted on the rail to trigger the limit at the fully open position. The BFT Tiziano’s encoder limit switching combined with the D-Track positioning system determines the open position electronically, eliminating the need for external stop brackets on the rail entirely. This simplifies installation — no bracket drilling, positioning, or adjustment on the rail profile — and removes mechanical components that can shift position over time from rail vibration or repeated impact.

IPX0 is the lowest possible protection rating — no certified protection against solid objects or water ingress of any kind. This is lower than the IP20 found on the BFT Botticelli and ARGO BT, and lower than the IP40 on the BENINCA motors. The BFT Tiziano must be installed in a fully enclosed, dry indoor garage ceiling where it is completely sheltered from dust, moisture, spray, and humidity. Any exposure to even minor condensation, water splash, or fine dust warrants a motor with a higher IP rating instead.

The BFT Tiziano’s 100W power consumption at 6.6 m/min reflects its semi-intensive residential specification — a lower-duty motor optimised for energy efficiency rather than high speed or heavy cycling. At 6.6 m/min, a standard 2.1m high door takes approximately 19 seconds to open fully. For Abu Dhabi villa garages used for 2–6 vehicles per day, this speed and power level is adequate. The Tiziano’s lower wattage also means lower heat generation per cycle, beneficial in a 60°C enclosed Abu Dhabi garage.
