The CAME 009SMA2 has two independent detection channels, each connecting to a separate ground loop. Single-channel detectors handle one loop; the SMA2 handles two loops simultaneously from one unit. This suits Abu Dhabi barrier lanes with both an entry trigger loop and a safety presence loop — the first triggers the barrier to open when a vehicle approaches, the second holds the barrier open while the vehicle remains over the exit loop, preventing premature closing.

The CAME 009SMA2 accepts 24V AC or 24V DC at 50/60Hz, making it compatible with both AC-output control panels (common on older CAME barrier boards) and DC-regulated supplies on modern panels. Abu Dhabi installers working across mixed CAME automation equipment do not need separate AC and DC detector variants — the SMA2 operates reliably on either supply type from the same unit, simplifying stock management and reducing ordering errors.

IP20 provides protection against solid objects over 12mm only — no water or dust protection. This is the lowest rating of any loop detector in the POWERgate Abu Dhabi range.
