The RIB KING EVO L specifies 150 suggested daily cycles — 2.5 times the KING EVO’s 60 daily cycles, despite both carrying a 60% service rating. At 150 cycles per day, the EVO L supports approximately 75 full vehicle entry and exit pairs per day. This makes the KING EVO L suitable for Abu Dhabi apartment blocks, compound access gates, or commercial entrances with sustained daily vehicle throughput well beyond typical villa residential use. The higher cycle capacity reflects the EVO L’s double helical gearing and heavier-duty mechanical transmission.

The RIB KING EVO L uses double helical gearing — a gear tooth profile where each gear has two sets of helical teeth angled in opposite directions. Standard helical gears reduce noise by engaging teeth progressively rather than all at once, but generate axial thrust force. Double helical gears eliminate this axial thrust by balancing opposing angles, producing quieter, smoother, and mechanically balanced transmission at higher loads. Combined with a 20mm endless screw and special synthetic grease, the double helical design supports the EVO L’s 150 daily cycles without accelerated wear at the gearbox.

The RIB KING EVO L’s 498mm stroke is among the longest in the POWERgate Abu Dhabi surface motor range. The MOTORLINE LINCE600 holds the outright stroke record at 600mm, followed by the KINGgates JET XL at 540mm, the NICE TOONA 7 at 584mm, and the GIBIDI BL233 at 500mm. The EVO L at 498mm sits just below the GIBIDI at the same 5m leaf capacity. At 5m and 500 kg, the 498mm stroke provides the lever arm geometry needed for the 2570N force to generate adequate rotational torque at the gate hinge pivot.

RIB’s product range mentions a KING EVO L SUPER as a higher-capacity variant beyond the standard KING EVO L. The SUPER designation in RIB’s gate motor range typically refers to a model with extended gate leaf capacity, higher thrust, or heavier-duty mechanical components suited to gates exceeding the standard EVO L’s 5m/500kg limits. For Abu Dhabi industrial entrances, warehouse access gates, or very large residential estate gates above 5m per leaf, the KING EVO L SUPER may be appropriate. The RIB KING EVO L carries a 24-month manufacturer warranty. RIB mandates an electric lock for gate leaves exceeding 2.5m — a firm requirement at 5m. The -10°C lower temperature limit confirms the motor is optimised for warm climates like Abu Dhabi’s. The synthetic grease must not be mixed with other lubricant types during servicing. The APP card must be correctly seated in the B2-CRX before Bluetooth testing. Gate hinges must be in excellent condition — a stiff 500kg gate will rapidly exceed the 2570N thrust.
