Amperometric obstacle detection monitors the motor’s current draw during boom travel. When an obstruction resists the boom — a vehicle, person, or object in the path — the motor draws more current than the programmed profile. The CP.LADY control unit detects this rise and triggers an immediate reversal. Unlike photocell-only systems, amperometric detection provides protection even when a photocell beam is not interrupted, adding a second safety layer at Abu Dhabi parking entrances.

Predesigned for SIS means the LADY.5’s CP.LADY control unit has the wiring terminals, connectors, and firmware logic for the SIS synchronisation board already built in — SIS is plugged in rather than wired in separately. On barriers where SIS is purely optional and unplanned for in the design, additional wiring modifications may be required. For Abu Dhabi opposed-barrier installations, the LADY.5’s predesigned SIS readiness simplifies installation.

AISI 304 stainless steel is an austenitic grade with good corrosion resistance in standard outdoor and coastal environments. For Abu Dhabi beachfront compounds, coastal villas, and humid outdoor parking areas, 304 resists rust formation from salt air. The specific grade confirmation — rather than just “stainless” — allows specifiers and maintenance teams to confirm material compatibility with local environmental conditions before installation.

The Benincà LADY series (LADY, LADY.5) and the EVA series (EVA.5) are both 24V DC intensive-use barriers but from different structural families. The LADY.5 uses CP.LADY control unit, 195 Nm, and 50.8 kg; the EVA.5 uses CP.EVA, 205 Nm, STC system, and 54.8 kg.
