CAME ATI A3000 Swing Gate Motor Kit

The CAME ATI A3000 specifies an adjustable thrust range of 400–4000N — the highest maximum thrust of any surface-mounted swing gate motor in our range. At its maximum of 4000N (approximately 408 kg of linear force), the ATI A3000 can apply exceptional pushing force for very heavy gate leaves approaching its 400 kg capacity, gates with stiff or slightly misaligned hinges, or gate leaves that have settled over time. At the minimum of 400N, the force is gentle enough for lightweight or well-balanced gates where minimal drive force reduces wear. The installer sets the appropriate thrust during commissioning using the control panel’s force adjustment. This 400–4000N range gives the ATI A3000 ten times the adjustment range of the BFT KUSTOS BT B25 (which also specifies 2000N as a fixed figure), offering greater adaptability across different gate weights and conditions.

The CAME ATI A3000 uses an opening limit-switch microswitch to stop the gate at its fully open position. For the closing position, the motor relies on the control panel’s timing function — after the set operating time elapses, the motor stops, and the gate contacts its mechanical stop in the closed position. This is a common design in classic electromechanical irreversible motors: the opening microswitch provides the critical “fully open” signal for auto-close timing, pedestrian opening functions, and second-leaf sequencing, while the close position is controlled by the panel’s programmed run time. For the 230V ATI A3000, obstacle amperometric detection, encoder management, and blackout operation arrangement are not specified by the manufacturer — suggesting these are features available in the 24V version of the ATI family where electronic motor control allows more sophisticated position monitoring.

The CAME ATI A3000 specifies its 90° manoeuvring time as 19 to 25 seconds — the only motor in our range with a time range rather than a single fixed value. This range reflects the motor’s varying performance across its 400–4000N thrust adjustment spectrum and the range of gate leaf weights it handles. At lower thrust settings on lighter gates, the motor completes the 90° arc in approximately 19 seconds. At higher thrust settings on heavier gates approaching 400 kg, the motor takes closer to 25 seconds as it works against greater inertia. The 24 cycles per hour rating is specified at the motor’s rated operating conditions, meaning regardless of whether the cycle takes 19 or 25 seconds, the motor supports up to 24 open/close cycles per hour without exceeding thermal limits.

The CAME ATI A3000 kit is supplied with a fully matched set of CAME-branded accessories. The CAME TOP 432EE is a CAME transmitter operating on 433.92 MHz with CAME’s rolling code encryption, designed to pair directly with the included CAME multifunction control panel. The CAME KIARO is CAME’s own LED flashing warning light with integrated antenna, providing gate movement warning in the distinctive CAME design. The CAME DELTA DIR is a directional photocell sensor pair, providing safety beam protection across the gate opening. Using all-CAME accessories ensures confirmed protocol compatibility with the multifunction control panel, avoiding the potential wiring mismatches that can occur when mixing accessories from different brands in a gate automation installation.

The CAME ATI A3000 carries a 24-month manufacturer warranty from purchase covering manufacturing defects under normal operating conditions. Key warranty considerations: the 4000N maximum thrust setting should only be used when the gate genuinely requires it — running consistently at maximum thrust on a lighter gate creates unnecessary heat and mechanical stress on the gearmotor that accelerates wear beyond the design life. The 150°C thermal protection cuts motor power if windings overheat, but repeated thermal triggers indicate an underlying installation issue. The IP44 protection means the motor must be installed with pillar or housing shelter away from direct dust accumulation and water spray. Because obstacle detection and encoder management are not specified for the 230V version, the installation must include correctly positioned and aligned CAME DELTA DIR photocells as the primary safety device.
