The Centurion Photon Smart is designed for Centurion SMART systems, including the SDO4 SMART, D3, D5-Evo, D6, D10, D10 Turbo, D20, and V-Series SMART. The Centurion SDO4 Smart garage motor is the listed model for fully wireless beams. It is not listed for other brands or non-SMART Centurion controllers.

Each Centurion Photon Smart transmitter and receiver uses 2 AA alkaline batteries, included in the pack, with a listed life of over 2 years. Low-battery warnings arrive through the MyCentsys Pro app. In Abu Dhabi heat, check the batteries at each service visit rather than waiting for the alert, and replace with alkaline cells.

The Centurion Photon Smart beam reaches 30 m, but the receiver must sit within 10 m of the SMART controller. Plan the receiver position around that limit, because a wide gate with the controller far from the receiver side may not connect. Automatic alignment is listed at 1 m at 10 m.
