Yes — the GIBIDI BL233’s 500mm maximum rod stroke is the longest of any surface-mounted swing gate motor in the POWERgate Abu Dhabi range, exceeding the previous record of 470mm held by the BFT PHOBOS BT B40. The longer stroke allows the BL233 to push a 5.0m gate leaf through a wider arc from the same bracket-to-hinge geometry, while its stainless-steel tension rods and steel and bronze-aluminium gears ensure the extended stroke operates reliably without flex or wear over intensive use cycles. The 500mm stroke contributes directly to the BL233’s 5.0m leaf capacity at 3000N thrust.

The GIBIDI BL233 carries IP53 protection: the 5 means dust-protected (some dust may enter but not enough to impair function — same as IP54 and IP55’s first digit), and the 3 means protection against water spray falling at up to 60° from vertical, but not horizontal spray. This is weaker water protection than the IP44 or IP54 motors in the range, which cover spray from any direction. The BL233 should be mounted on a pillar face with adequate overhang or housing cover to prevent direct side or horizontal water exposure from irrigation or rain-splash in Abu Dhabi.
