The SOMMER twist M and the Sommer twist 200 E share the same IP44 operator, IP65 control unit, SOMloq2 868.95 MHz, 40–450 expandable radio memory, 2.5m/300kg, 10% inclination, and ED 15% S3 duty. The twist M uses a 24V DC motor with 100–240V universal mains input, DST-A 24 control unit, and -25°C to +65°C range. The twist 200 E uses a 230V AC motor with 220–240V input and -30°C to +70°C range. The twist M supports battery backup via its 24V motor and adds automatic closing, semi-automatic closing, pulse mode, and power cut-off protection.

The SOMMER twist M specifies a maximum gate filling of 100% — the gate panel can completely fill the gate frame with no open sections, producing a solid, fully infilled panel. This is the only motor in the POWERgate Abu Dhabi range to publish a gate filling specification.
