The BFT AQ3’s rectangular cross-section provides higher structural rigidity than a round tube of the same weight — the flat faces resist bending forces from wind, vehicle contact, and arm movement momentum better. For Abu Dhabi outdoor parking sites exposed to wind or where vehicles occasionally brush the arm, a rectangular boom maintains its straightness over time more reliably than circular profiles.

BFT specifies the AQ3 N728033 for BFT MOOVI and BFT GIOTTO barrier operators only. Other BFT barrier models may use different boom attachment mechanisms, pivot brackets, or arm profiles that are not compatible with the AQ3. Before ordering the AQ3 as a replacement, confirm the existing barrier model is either MOOVI or GIOTTO. Fitting an incompatible boom can cause incorrect balance, motor overload, or unsafe barrier movement at Abu Dhabi installations.
