Yes — the KINGgates JET XL’s 540mm rod stroke is the longest of any motor in the POWERgate Abu Dhabi range, exceeding the previous surface record of 500mm held by the GIBIDI BL233 and 470mm by the BFT PHOBOS BT B40. The extended stroke is what enables the JET XL to drive a 6.0m gate leaf through a full opening arc from a standard pillar bracket position. The motor housing reflects this: at 1030mm in length, the JET XL is also one of the longest motor bodies in the range, requiring clear space along the gate pillar during installation planning.

The KINGgates JET XL and KINGgates JET 230F share the same 230V supply, steel and bronze transmission, aluminium personalised-key release, STARG8 board, STYLO 4K remotes, IDEA blinker, and IP44 rating. The JET XL steps up to 6m/750kg with a 540mm stroke at 350W, while the JET 230F handles 3m/600kg with a 360mm stroke at 200W. The JET XL adds tilting forks with ±5° alignment compensation, VIKY 30 photocells at 30m range (vs standard VIKY), a TAB warning plate, and an upper-section connection compartment for wiring access.

The KINGgates JET XL uses a tilting fork rear fastening system with ±5° angular tolerance — the rear bracket can be fixed to the gate pillar at up to 5 degrees off the ideal alignment axis without affecting motor performance. This is the only motor in the POWERgate Abu Dhabi range with a published angular compensation specification for its rear mounting. On Abu Dhabi villa sites where gate posts are set in concrete and the pillar face is not perfectly perpendicular to the gate axis, the ±5° tolerance allows correct installation without custom shimming or bracket modification.

The KINGgates JET XL includes VIKY 30 photocells — the 30-metre range version of KINGgates’ VIKY photocell family. Standard VIKY photocells in the JET 230F kit cover typical villa pillar-to-pillar distances. The VIKY 30’s 30-metre detection range accommodates the wider gate openings that a 6.0m leaf creates — the photocell beam must span twice the distance compared to a 3.0m gate installation. For Abu Dhabi commercial compound gates or large estate entrances where the two pillars are far apart, the VIKY 30’s extended range ensures the safety beam reliably covers the full opening width.

The KINGgates JET XL carries a 24-month manufacturer warranty. At 6m/750kg with a 540mm stroke, correct bracket geometry is the most critical factor: the tilting fork’s ±5° tolerance does not compensate for fundamentally incorrect bracket height or distance positioning, which places off-axis stress on the 540mm rod. The gate must move completely freely by hand — stiff hinges on a 750kg leaf cause 350W overload that repeatedly triggers the thermal cutout.
