The ROGER R30/1204’s 18µF run capacitor is the largest in the ROGER sliding gate range — the M30/326 uses 12.5µF and the H30/645 does not specify one. A larger capacitor provides a stronger reactive current for starting the asynchronous 230V motor against the inertia of a 1200 kg gate at 420W. Undersized capacitors cause weak start torque, slow acceleration, and thermal stress in the starting winding — particularly relevant in Abu Dhabi’s heat where motor resistance increases.

The ROGER R30/1204’s Z17 M4 pinion (17 teeth) has a larger pitch circle diameter than the M30/326’s Z15 (15 teeth). More teeth means more rack contact area distributing the 800N thrust across a wider engagement zone, reducing per-tooth stress at the higher load. Despite the larger pinion, the R30/1204 maintains 9.5 m/min — the same speed as smaller ROGER motors — because the gearbox reduction is adjusted to compensate for the larger output gear.

Unlike the M30/326 which includes the H93/RX20/I receiver, the ROGER R30/1204 kit includes: 1× R30/1204 motor with H70/104AC board, optical encoder, magnetic limit switch, and fixing plate; 2× E80 remotes; 1× R90 photocell pair; 1× blinker; 4× 1m nylon rack; and 1× push button. A compatible ROGER plug-in receiver must be added separately for radio control. Foundation plate must also be sourced separately for Abu Dhabi concrete pillar installations.

The ROGER R30/1204’s 800N is the highest thrust in the ROGER Technology sliding gate range in the POWERgate Abu Dhabi catalogue — more than triple the ROGER M30/326’s 250N and more than double the H30/645’s 300N.
