KINGgates JET 230F Swing Gate Motor Kit

The KINGgates JET 230F uses a die-cast aluminium manual-release handle with a personalised key to disengage the motor during power cuts. The aluminium handle is more durable than the plastic release mechanisms found on some motors, resisting UAE heat and UV exposure without becoming brittle. The personalised key means the release key is cut specifically for this motor unit — a standard key cannot operate it, preventing unauthorised manual gate release. This is a meaningful security feature for Abu Dhabi properties where preventing undetected manual gate access is a priority.

The STARG8 is KINGgates’ control board included in the JET 230F kit. It is designed to support one or two motors at either 24Vdc or 230Vac — meaning the same STARG8 board can manage 24V and 230V KINGgates motors without requiring a different board for each voltage. This dual-voltage flexibility makes the STARG8 a practical board for installers working across different KINGgates product lines. For the JET 230F, the board manages the two 230V motors, integrates the VIKY photocells, flashes the IDEA blinker, and receives STYLO 4K remote commands.

The KINGgates JET 230F delivers 600 kg gate capacity at 3.0m using 200W through its steel and bronze mechanical transmission. The bronze gear element in the worm screw reduces friction at the metal-to-metal contact point while the steel gearing maintains high structural strength under load. The worm screw geometry provides the high reduction ratio needed to convert 200W motor output into the force required to move 600 kg. The 360mm stroke places the bracket at sufficient distance from the hinge to create the mechanical advantage needed — gate geometry and correct bracket positioning are critical to achieving the full 600 kg capacity.

The JET 230F kit includes a matched set of KINGgates-branded accessories. STYLO 4K are KINGgates’ 4-channel remote transmitters providing multi-function control of the gate system. VIKY is KINGgates’ photocell safety sensor pair, providing the required safety beam across the gate opening. IDEA is KINGgates’ warning blinker light that activates during gate movement. Using matched KINGgates accessories ensures confirmed protocol compatibility with the STARG8 control board, avoiding the signal or wiring mismatches that can occur with non-branded accessories. The KINGgates JET 230F carries a 24-month manufacturer warranty. KINGgates requires that the gate structure is mechanically balanced and moves freely by hand before installation — a stiff or unbalanced gate places the 200W motor under continuous overload that exceeds the 30% duty rating and triggers thermal protection repeatedly. The extractable connector must be fully seated after installation; a partially inserted connector causes intermittent motor faults. The IP44 rating requires sheltered mounting.
