CAME ATS50AGS Swing Gate Opener Kit

CAME CONNECT is CAME’s IoT (Internet of Things) platform that enables remote gate management via smartphone or web interface. When the ATS50AGS is paired with a compatible CAME gateway or CAME KEY device, the gate can be controlled, monitored, and programmed remotely over an internet connection — opening and closing the gate from anywhere in the world, checking gate status (open/closed/fault), receiving alerts, and adjusting settings without physical access to the control panel. This is the first IoT-enabled product in the POWERgate Abu Dhabi swing gate motor range. For Abu Dhabi villa owners who travel frequently or manage multiple properties, CAME CONNECT provides a meaningful access control upgrade over standard remote-only gate systems. The CAME CONNECT gateway or CAME KEY device is purchased separately.

Both are complete kits for 5.0m/400kg swing gates, but the ATS50AGS kit offers the stronger technical specification in most categories. The ATS50AGS kit completes 90° in 20 seconds (vs ATI A5000’s 30–40 seconds), supports 20 cycles per hour (vs 15), carries IP54 protection (vs IP44), and uses a telescopic bevel gear mechanism (vs ATI’s standard gearmotor). The ATI A5000 kit has a higher maximum thrust of 4000N (vs ATS50AGS’s 3000N) and includes the CAME-branded TOP 432EE remotes and KIARO flasher as named models. The ATS50AGS kit includes CAME CONNECT compatibility via gateway or CAME KEY — a smart access feature not available on the ATI A5000. The ATS50AGS kit is priced lower than the ATI A5000 kit at AED 4,375 position vs AED 4,475.

The CAME ATS50AGS motor is 1050mm long in its retracted state — just over one metre of physical motor housing that must fit within the installation space between the gate post bracket and the gate leaf bracket when the gate is fully closed. In a telescopic motor, the arm retracts into this 1050mm housing when closed and extends when the gate opens, so the 1050mm length is the minimum clear space required at the gate post for mounting. At 9 kg per motor (slightly heavier than the ATS30AGS at 8.5 kg), the fixing brackets must be rated to support this weight securely against the full 400–3000N thrust applied during gate operation. These physical dimensions must be verified against the gate post layout and available pillar depth before specifying the ATS50AGS.

The ATS50AGS kit includes a pair of self-aligning photocells — infrared safety sensors where the transmitter and receiver automatically compensate for minor angular misalignment between the two units during and after installation. Unlike standard fixed-beam photocells that require precise manual alignment each time the gate pillars are mounted or serviced, self-aligning photocells maintain their beam connection through a small range of angular tolerance, reducing false-trigger events caused by pillar vibration, thermal expansion, or gradual bracket movement over time. For a 5.0m gate opening where the photocell beam must span a wide distance between gate pillars in Abu Dhabi’s outdoor environment, self-aligning photocells are a practical reliability advantage over standard fixed-beam pairs.

The CAME ATS50AGS kit carries a 24-month manufacturer warranty from purchase on all included components. For CAME CONNECT functionality, the warranty covers the motor and control panel hardware — the CAME CONNECT service itself is subject to CAME’s separate platform terms and requires an active compatible CAME gateway or CAME KEY device (purchased separately) and internet connectivity at the installation site. The motor warranty is voided by the standard risks: C Max. 200mm geometry violation, incorrect 230V wiring, IP54 seal breach from direct water jet or submerged installation, and operating gate leaves beyond the 5.0m/400kg limits. The ATS50AGS’s bevel gear mechanism is sensitive to off-axis forces from incorrect bracket geometry, which is the most common warranty claim on telescopic motors.
