The CAME STYLO’s 100N thrust is the lowest linear force output of any motor in the POWERgate Abu Dhabi range — far below the CAME FERNI FE40230 (540N) or the CAME ATI A3000 (up to 4000N). However, the STYLO is designed specifically for lightweight gates (100–150 kg on very short leaves) where the required force is inherently low, and its encoder-based movement control with adjustable manoeuvring speed compensates for the limited thrust by allowing the motor to operate at slower speeds when detecting higher-than-expected resistance, rather than stalling. At 0.8m leaf length, a 150 kg gate generates very little lever force at the hinge, meaning the motor’s 100N is sufficient for reliable movement. For any gate leaf approaching 1.8m at 100 kg, the installation geometry (arm bracket position relative to hinge) is critical for the STYLO to operate within its thrust rating.

The CAME STYLO’s minimum post width of 8 cm (80mm) makes it one of the most compact swing gate motors available for narrow pillar installations — matching the BFT E5 BT A18’s 80mm minimum pillar width. In Abu Dhabi, this specification serves properties where gate columns are slim iron posts, thin aluminium profiles, or narrow brick columns where standard surface-mounted linear actuators or larger articulated arm motors cannot be fitted. Pedestrian entrances, garden gate automation, driveway wicket gates, and apartment building pedestrian swing gates frequently have narrower posts than the villa driveways served by the KRONO, ATI, or ATS motors. The STYLO fills this niche: a full-featured 24V encoder motor with heavy-duty service rating, IP54 protection, and CAME Connect compatibility, in a housing compact enough to mount on an 8cm post.

The CAME STYLO and BFT E5 BT A18 are the two narrowest-post specialists in the range, both suited to 80mm (8cm) minimum pillar width with 24V encoder control and 1.8m/100kg gate leaves. The STYLO uses 48W at 5A with heavy-duty service, IP54 protection, 100N thrust, and adjustable cycle time, achieving up to 135° opening with the STYLO-BD arm. The BFT E5 BT A18 uses 40W with 20 cycles per hour, IP44 protection, D-Track precision detection, and an absolute encoder, opening to 110° maximum via the THALIA BT A80 Bluetooth control unit. The STYLO’s 135° opening advantage and IP54 rating suit Abu Dhabi outdoor gates requiring maximum opening clearance or better weatherproofing. The E5 BT A18’s D-Track and Bluetooth commissioning suit premium residential installations prioritising intelligent obstacle detection over opening width.

The CAME STYLO’s heavy-duty service rating (the same designation as the CAME AXO AX3024) means it can sustain high-frequency gate cycling without mandatory rest intervals — far exceeding the 30% duty cycle of residential motors like the KRONO KR310 or the BENINCA BILL range. For a motor consuming only 48W at 24V, this is an exceptional duty rating that reflects the encoder’s precise load management and the motor’s efficient thermal design. The adjustable manoeuvring speed also contributes: the STYLO can be set to cycle faster (shorter dwell time) on lighter gates and slower on heavier leaves approaching 100 kg, keeping average power consumption within the thermal envelope even at high cycle counts. For a pedestrian entrance or apartment building gate that may open and close dozens of times daily, the STYLO’s heavy-duty rating ensures it is not the limiting factor in access throughput.

The CAME STYLO carries a 24-month manufacturer warranty from purchase. The most critical installation factor specific to the STYLO is the arm choice: selecting STYLO-BS (120° folding) or STYLO-BD (135° straight+track) determines the entire bracket geometry. Mixing arm types or incorrectly mounting the selected arm will cause the motor to operate outside its designed arc, placing stress on the 100N thrust output that can stall or damage the gearmotor. The variable weight capacity (100 kg@1.8m / 125 kg@1.2m / 150 kg@0.8m) must be observed: installing a 120 kg gate on a 1.8m leaf exceeds the limit at that length even though the motor handles 120 kg at 1.2m. The adjustable cycle time must be calibrated for the actual gate weight — too fast a setting for a heavier leaf causes the encoder to repeatedly trigger obstacle reversals. The 8cm minimum post width is a hard limit; narrower posts require an alternative mounting solution.
