NICE BFAB5024 Underground Swing Gate Opener

The NICE BFAB5024 produces 400 Nm at peak torque — the maximum force applied momentarily during gate startup against inertia or an obstacle — and 100 Nm at nominal torque, which is the sustained force during normal gate movement. The 4:1 ratio between peak and nominal reflects the motor’s ability to burst beyond its continuous rating for short periods to get a heavy or stiff gate moving from standstill, then settle to efficient nominal operation. At 45 cycles per hour, the motor is designed to sustain nominal torque continuously without overheating, while the peak provides the startup force needed for a 5m gate leaf.

Using any control unit other than the MC824H risks inability to correctly manage the 4:1 peak-to-nominal torque ratio and encoder protocol, potentially causing abrupt motor starts or incorrect position limits on a 5m gate leaf.
