Both the NICE RB400 and the NICE Robus 400 (RBS400) handle 400 kg at 24V, 0.34 m/s, 35 cycles/hour, BlueBUS, EPMB photocells, and master–slave support. The RB400 uses RBA3 control unit, OXI receiver, electromechanical limit switch, FLO2RE 2-button remotes, 400N, -20°C/+50°C, and weighs 8 kg. The RBS400 uses integrated receiver, magnetic limit switch, MYGO4 4-channel remotes, 510N, and +55°C. The RB400 is the earlier-architecture model.

The NICE RB400’s built-in temperature sensor monitors internal motor temperature and adjusts power output automatically to compensate for heat. In Abu Dhabi’s summer conditions, when the 24V motor body heats during sustained cycling, the sensor reduces output to prevent thermal overload. In cooler morning temperatures it allows full output. This is the same thermal regulation feature as the ROBUS 1000 — confirming it applies across the NICE ROBUS platform regardless of gate weight class.

The NICE RB400 uses a separate RBA3 control unit alongside an OXI plug-in receiver — two distinct modules rather than the fully integrated board-and-receiver of the RBS400. The RB400 also uses electromechanical limit switches requiring physical contact adjustment along the gate track, whereas the RBS400 uses magnetic limit switches with contactless detection. The electromechanical approach is more traditional, requiring careful switch positioning but using hardware many Abu Dhabi installers are already familiar with.

The NICE RB400 carries a 24-month NICE warranty. At 8 kg, it is lighter than the RBS400 (11 kg).
