The 741 handles 900 kg at 12 m/min, 40% duty, 500W, with a complete accessory kit. The 746 ER is the heavy-duty oil-bath FAAC motor for 600 kg; the 741 is the residential 900 kg complete kit option.

The FAAC 746 ER’s oil-bath gearmotor immerses all gear contact surfaces in oil, providing consistent lubrication at the higher duty cycles the 746 is designed for. Unlike grease-lubricated motors (740, 741), oil maintains constant film coverage under sustained load at elevated temperatures. The twin-disk clutch in oil bath is a mechanical force limitation device: two friction discs transmit motor torque to the output shaft, but slip at a pre-set torque threshold, cutting gate force before the encoder’s electronic obstacle detection activates.
