The CAME SUPER FROG FROG-MD uses a variable capacity table: 600 kg at 8.0m, 700 kg at 7.0m, 800 kg at 6.0m, 1000 kg at 5.0m, 1200 kg at 4.0m, and 1500 kg on leaves under 4.0m. The heavier the gate, the shorter the leaf must be to keep hinge torque within the motor’s 600W output. With the correct leaf-length and weight pairing, the SUPER FROG can handle Abu Dhabi compound gates, industrial entrances, and large commercial access points that no other motor in the range can reach. Always verify your gate’s actual leaf length and weight against this table before specifying.

The CAME SUPER FROG FROG-MD operates on a 230–400V AC three-phase 50/60Hz supply — the only motor in the POWERgate Abu Dhabi range requiring three-phase power. Three-phase supply delivers more stable power for high-load motors, making it standard in Abu Dhabi commercial and industrial properties. Residential villas typically have single-phase supply only; installing the SUPER FROG at a villa requires a dedicated three-phase feed from the distribution board. The electrical infrastructure must be confirmed before specifying this motor — using a single-phase supply is not compatible and will damage the motor.

The SUPER FROG FROG-MD and CAME FROG PLUS are both heavy-duty CAME underground motors, but in different performance classes. The SUPER FROG handles up to 8.0m and 1500 kg on three-phase 230–400V at 600W in 45 seconds. The FROG PLUS handles up to 5.5m and 700 kg on 230V single-phase at 500W in 30 seconds. The SUPER FROG is right-side only and requires a matching left-side unit; the FROG PLUS is a single standalone motor. The CAME SUPER FROG FROG-MD’s 45-second manoeuvring time to 90° is the slowest of any motor in the POWERgate Abu Dhabi range. At 600W driving gates up to 1500 kg on short leaves, the gearmotor must apply enormous torque through the underground mechanism, and the reduction ratio needed to produce this force drastically reduces output shaft speed. The 45-second cycle reflects this fundamental speed-force trade-off: maximum force requires maximum gear reduction, which slows the gate arc. For most Abu Dhabi heavy-gate applications, this cycle time is acceptable given that the gate size and weight this motor handles are not suited to fast cycling.

The SUPER FROG FROG-MD (001FROG-MD) is designated as a right-side underground operator, mirroring the KRONO KR300D’s sided motor design. For a standard double-leaf gate, you need one FROG-MD (right) and a matching left-side SUPER FROG operator, plus a compatible CAME three-phase control panel, foundation boxes for both leaf positions, IP67 cabling, photocells, flashing light, and remote controls. All components must be on-site before groundwork begins — the foundation boxes are permanently cast into concrete and cannot be repositioned after pouring.
