About Centurion
Centurion is a South African manufacturer of automation for gates and garage doors, together with remote controls, receivers and photocells. In Abu Dhabi you will find Centurion motors on villa gates, compound entrances and private garages. The model name tells you the job: the D5, D6, D10 and D20 are sliding gate motors, the Vantage Smart and R6 are swing gate motors, the SDO4 Smart opens garage doors and the Nova remotes are sold under the Centsys name.
For a customer this means two things. A new Centurion gate is simple to automate, and an old Centurion gate can usually be repaired without replacing the whole motor, because receivers, photocells and remotes are sold separately. That is why we list not only complete motors but also Nova 1, 2 and 4 button remotes, the Nova Helix receiver and the Photon Smart and i5 photocells.

- Heat: Keep the motor cover closed and the electronics shaded and ventilated, so heat above 45°C and dust stay out.
- Dust and sand: Clean and lightly grease the rack every few months and keep the limit switches free of sand. A worn rack makes the gate jerk and overheats a sliding motor.
- Humidity and coastal air: On Abu Dhabi island and near the sea, check cable entries and the electronics for moisture and corrosion.
- Power and safety: Voltage spikes damage electronics, so use a surge protector. Keep photocells aligned and clean, so the gate stops safely when something is in the way.
